Sustainability Web Videos: Evaluating Virtual World Content for Sustainability and Pro-environmental Behaviour in the Curriculum.
In an expansion to the PREVIEW-Sustain project researchers from University of Derby are exploring the use of virtual world videos (Machinima) for sustainability and pro-environmental behaviour across the curriculum.
The broad aim of the project is to evaluate virtual world content for sustainability and pro-environmental behaviour. By sustainability we mean a set of resources that can be used to meet human needs while preserving the environment. For example, sustainability can be achieved by reducing consumption of resources such as water and electrical energy. The aims of the project will be met by exploring attitudes and views towards sustainability and pro-environmental behaviour, uncovering the motivating factors, and highlighting any differences between different groups of people. These findings may help society in terms of future developments in improving the environment.
If you choose to participate please complete the online questionnaire and watch the three short videos, which will take 10-15 minutes to complete. The questionnaire asks general questions about pro-environmental behaviour. There will be a follow-up questionnaire which we would like you to complete approximately 3-7 days later by returning to this site. We would like to keep a record of your responses to these questions so that we have a precise record of what you have said.
